James Potter and the Hall of Elders Crossing Review

So... I recently came across some published fan fiction for Harry Potter, called James Potter and the Hall of Elders Crossing. It details James Potter's, Harry's and Ginny's son, experiences and exploits at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The book started off without my interest; basically I kept reading it because I love the Harry Potter series so much, and I read that J.K. Rowling herself enjoyed the series. As I continued the novel, the story line became more and more ridiculous. In Rowling's novel, she detailed how the famous wizard Merlin was a big of an enigma in the wizarding world. The Slytherin house loved to announce the fact that Merlin was sorted into their house. There was a picture of him on the chocolate frog cards, but no one knew what really happened to him. Long story short, Merlin never died, and he comes back from the not-dead and befriends James. He becomes the representation of Dumbledore was to Harry, for James. Blah blah blah... The dumb part of the book is how apparently, 16 years after Voldermort's death, they start thinking that he was misunderstood. As if genocide can be misconstrued... They start thinking that HARRY POTTER was the one who was using propaganda to promote his agenda. The book finished with some people being outed as the perpetrators of the Anti-Harry Potter movement, but obviously there are more followers. I will finish the series because I do not line to not finish something, but we will see if I end up enjoying it.

Thanks for Reading,
